The Flu Season us upon us and it is expected that “Swine Flu” will have an impact in Chantilly and just about everywhere else.
You can do a lot within your own home to keep the environment as “flu free” as possible.
This 4-minute interview from The Today Show has some good suggestions that are worth hearing or hearing again.
You may not have know that:
- Flu virus can live for up to 8 hours on household surfaces
- You need to be careful with Computer keyboards! They carry 400 times more bacteria than a toilet seat.
- Make sure you keep your cleaning tools (i.e. sponges, mops) clean. They can do damage if they are not germ free.
The flu virus puts 200,000 people in the hospital, each year. Keeping the house well sanitized is one way to stay a step ahead of the ever present flu bug.
