Ridings at Blue Spring is a small development of homes very close to Pleasant Valley near Route 50 and Pleasant Valley Road, right at the boundary between Fairfax and Loudoun counties.

Our community profile for this week is The Retreat at South Village in the Chantilly, Virginia area.
You can get to the “Retreat” by turning off Route 50 at Poland Road. You will notice the Steetz gas station at this intersection. Just a very short drive along Poland Road and you will see the marquee to enter the Retreat.
This is a single-family home community featuring Winchester Homes. It borders South Riding.

COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT: KIRKPATRICK FARMS

If your home search includes the area in the western region of Fairfax County, and maybe into Loudoun County, you may want to know about Kirkpatrick Farms.
If you are driving west on Route 50 in Fairfax County, when you cross Route 28 you still have a few miles before you are in Loudoun County. After you pass South Riding, you can take a left on Gum Springs Road. Proceed on Gum Springs to the entrance of Kirkpatrick Farms.
Since the community first started, I have done a fair amount of business there, so I have gotten to know it well. If it is on your list of developments to check out, the links below will help.

COX FARMS: A CHANTILLY TRADITION

Cox Farms is a Chantilly tradition. The familiar sign marquee at the intersection of Braddock and Pleasant Valley Roads, with the occasional humorous message, is a Chantilly landmark in its own right.
