STRAIGHT SCOOP CONTRIBUTORS

Kathy O’Neal
Her enterprising spirit and natural leadership skills led Kathy to begin her real estate career in 1987. The people she served loved her contagious optimism, listening ability, quick mind, and personal commitment to their best interests. During that first year she earned honors as “Rookie of the Year.”

Since then her business has grown consistently, placing Kathy in the top echelon of real estate professionals nationally, including honors in the RE/MAX elite Chairman’s Club.

Although Kathy’s and her team are always striving to make their service and systems leading edge, what really matters most is the level of personal care, individual attention, and total integrity given to each person she serves. We hope that spirit comes through in “The Straight Scoop.”

Robert Martinson
Robert seemed destined for a position in public service. After growing up in Northern Virginia, it seemed all too obvious that he would return from his tenure at The University of Virginia to follow his parents’ footsteps to Capitol Hill. The path was broken when he was introduced to the world of mortgage lending in 2004, where he realized the private sector could offer a far more direct approach to helping people, his lifelong goal.

Joining Bank of America (BOA) in 2006, Robert found that the high moral standards and client focus of BOA are well matched to his own core values. He has become one of the most productive and effective Loan Officers at the bank, earning “Platinum Club” status in 2007, and ranking in the top 5% of BOA loan officers nationwide.

Robert’s enthusiasm, wit, humor, and optimism transform the lending process away from anxiety and toward comfort and financial peace. His hands-on approach ensures his clients have a full grasp of how the lending process works, from beginning to end. Further, he is a straight shooter with a big heart and a deep commitment to getting everything right for each person he serves.

John Pitrelli

John is a partner in the law firm of Eskovitz, Lazarus, and Pitrelli, PLLC. He is co-founder of Key Title.

In addition to extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of residential and commercial real estate law, he has been active as a real estate developer, builder, and investor throughout his career. John frequently lectures on topics where legal issues involving real estate need clear and understandable explanations. His work has been published in a variety of articles and journals.

He received his J.D. (juris doctor) from American University’s Washington College of Law, and has been a member of the Virginia bar for over thirty years. John’s focus in The Straight Scoop is to write about the “should know” legal issues that are relevant to real estate consumers.
